Population: Newnan’s population is approximately 37,912 and Coweta County’s population is approximately 143,114. From 2000- 2010, the population of city of Newnan grew by 42.7% as compared to 1990-2000, when the county grew by 65.7%. (Updated in May of 2018)

Climate: The climate is moderate with an average temperature of 64.3 degrees Fahrenheit (45.8 degrees in the winter and 79.1 degrees in the summer). The annual rainfall is 51.84 inches.

Parks and Recreation: Diverse programs such as art, tennis, dancing, aerobics, basketball, karate, etc. are offered by the Coweta County Parks and Recreation Department. The Recreation Department maintains several county recreational parks and facilities. Private and public golf courses, located throughout the county, are a regional draw for our area. The City of Newnan’s Beautification department maintains neighborhood and 10 parks at locations throughout the city including Temple Avenue Park, Greenville Street Park, C.J.
