The mission of the City Clerk is to keep and maintain records of the Council and of the City of Newnan, including minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other vital documents, and perform other duties as may be required by the Council. The City Clerk also processes the City's bi-weekly payroll and handles all associated reporting. You may access the Employee's Retirement Handbook.
Additionally, the City Clerk works in cooperation with the Board of Elections in planning elections. She is responsible for maintaining and filing the Campaign Contribution Disclosure and Financial Disclosure Statements required by Mayor and Council during the year in a timely manner to the State Ethics Commission. The City Clerk also works with Voter Registration.
